Walk With Me

The DeGraaf Nature Center in Michigan is located about two miles from downtown Holland. It is a well-loved place by the local community, and a favorite for activities such as dog walking and running. According to reviews, the gift shop is also a must visit, selling delicious treats with a highlight being their honey sticks. It is an easy and relaxed trail, but sometimes that is all a person needs. A perfect place to get back in tune with nature, the thick woods make it so that despite being able to hear wildlife, none come up and bother walking pedestrians or potential pets. The Center is also home to activities such as birdwatching, guided nature walks, and more, depending on the season. Just as the name suggests, the DeGraaf Nature Center wants to highlight the beauty of Michigan's outdoorsy charm and remind people of the beauty and peacefulness that resides in nature.

However, despite the ease of the trails themselves, DeGraaf does have problems with walkability in some parts of the trail, with the main issues being too muddy or not clear enough of branches and other obstacles. It is a shame because according to reviews, the views of wildlife and sights that are possible to see are well worth it, and it not being a difficult trail in the first place makes it especially frustrating to not be able to fully enjoy it all. The scope of work for potential vendors is to help fix this issue by replacing or removing existing wooden and gravel pathways, as well as the creation of new pathways throughout the property.

To be able to see prancing deer and hear the chirping of beautiful and vibrant colored birds, the fixing and making of new trails in DeGraaf Nature Center is a must. So many families have talked about the beauty they have experienced in the Center, and to continue allowing for people to see that magic, repairs adjustments must be made.
